This page contains information about our Spring Recreational Soccer Season. Our season is for boys turning 5 this year up to 19 years of age. For boys in Minors division, the spring season will depend on whether enough boys sign up–recruit your friends!
Registration
Spring Registration opens in October and soft-closes March 15th. Anyone registered by March15th is guaranteed to be placed on a team. There are no try-outs. Following March 15th, registration may remain open for divisions that still need additional players. Once all teams in a division are full, registration for that division will close.
Once registration closes for a division, it will take about 2 weeks to form team rosters and identify coaches. Around the 1st of April, coaches will contact players and let them know the practice schedule.
Cost
For the 2025 season, the cost is $45 for players registering by March15th. Registration after March15th is $60.
Field Locations
Games are played on Anderson Park District fields. The exact fields will not be known until APD assigns them around April 1. Historically, games have been played at either Riverside or Clear Creek.
Practice fields may be one of the Anderson Park District fields or an athletic field at one of the local elementary schools.
Game Schedule
There are 5 regular season games on Sundays typically starting after Easter and ending before Memorial Day weekend. Game times will vary from week to week. Sunday games will run noon – 5pm. Exact game times will not be known until the schedule comes out in early April.
Practice Schedule
Practice schedules are set by the coach of each team and vary greatly. We will not know your team’s practice schedule until players are assigned to a team and the coach secures a practice time. Typical practice times are weekdays between 4pm and 7pm. Some coaches may begin practices immediately, while others may wait until the week of the first game.
For players in our Dribblers(U5) & Trappers(U6) Divisions (players turning 5 or 6 in the current year), we offer an additional practice time prior to each game. Some Dribblers & Trappers coaches use this time as their only practice. Some choose not to use it at all.
Cincinnati United Academy
As part of our spring Soccer Season, players in our Trappers(U6), Shooters(U7), and Passers(U8) divisions may participate for free in our CU Academy. CU Academy is one night a week for 5 weeks, where professionally trained CU coaches run a soccer practice session.
